UK’s trade in goods deficit with the EU hits a record 3 monthly deficit of £23.8 billion

Today’s trade statistics release from ONS shows that in the 3 months to April 2016, the UK’s trade in goods deficit with the EU widened by £0.6 billion to a record 3 monthly deficit of £23.8 billion. In the 3 months to April 2016, imports of goods from the EU increased by £2.7 billion, to a record 3 monthly level of £58.6 billion.
