Oldham’s famous Coliseum Theatre has had it’s section 48 grant application from the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities approved subject to them implementing new robust governance arrangements including transitioning to a Trustee model. A trustee model means the Coliseum can no longer be focused on local “Oldham” priorities or the short term and will now be expected to operate based on profit generation and meet all of Greater Manchester’s centralised priorities.
