Todays figures release (26/05/2016) for the first three months of 2016 show another 640 national insurance numbers were issued to foreign nationals now living in Oldham, the most deprived Town in England, with 272 or 42.5% coming from Romania. This is the highest quarter on record in Oldham some 8.8% higher than any other. Contrary to Government claims people are not coming to places like Oldham for short term work because the borough does not have the employment capacity it has around 10,000 fewer workplace jobs than it had in 2004.
Also released today are the immigration figures showing net migration to the UK of 333,000 in the year to December 2015.
