Cash strapped Oldham Council & GM Police are funding a £30,000 community grant scheme for the people of Werneth. Werneth already gets 30% of all the money Oldham Council spends on “Priority Programme” grants for all 20 Oldham wards. Coincidentally Werneth delivered the highest Labour majority vote at last years local elections a massive 90.3% of votes.
